Aims and Scope

The Journal of Leadership, Strategy, and Impact in Africa is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that aims to advance knowledge at the intersection of leadership, strategy, sustainability, and digital transformation, with a strong grounding in African realities and global relevance. The journal welcomes contributions that explore how leadership and strategic thinking drive innovation, inclusive growth, and resilience in complex and evolving contexts. We are particularly interested in empirical and conceptual work that examines leadership practices and systems that are human-centered, digitally fluent, and sustainability-oriented.

Articles may draw on diverse disciplines, including business, public policy, education, economics, development studies, and technology, but must demonstrate practical application, ethical consideration, and impact. We encourage critical engagement with issues such as digital disruption, ethical leadership, governance reform, green growth, gender equity, and capacity development.

Our scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • Leadership and strategy in African enterprises and institutions
  • Case studies of African innovation, entrepreneurship, and change leadership
  • Research on responsible, ethical, and transformational leadership
  • The role of digital technologies in shaping strategic business practices
  • Sustainability-driven leadership models and climate-resilient strategies
  • Leadership for public value and inclusive development
  • Comparative leadership practices and insights from across the Global South
